WINNING, not so Bad!

Over this past weekend I have been faced with many obstacles. To my surprise I have handled these matters with integrity, humility and non-violent actions, to my surprise. I guess I can say finally, I AM WINNING (in my Charlie Sheen voice).

As most of us know when dealing with unforeseen circumstances we tend to act on emotion not ration.  Which brings me to my latest read…..

Wisdom from THE FOUR AGREEMENTS by Don Miguel Ruiz. Basically, all things we do in life are based on agreements of some sort- agreements made with ourselves, with other people, with society, with the higher power. The most important agreement being the ones we make with ourselves. These agreements tell us who we are, how to behave, what is possible, what is impossible.  There are many different agreements we make….If we want to live a life of joy, we have have to find the power to break those agreements that limit us in any way and chose new agreements based on love.

Read the Four Agreements it offers a simple code of conduct that can transform your life  to a new experience of freedom, happiness, and love.

First Agreement- Be Impeccable with Your Word ( NO LIES, just say what you mean. If someone gets hurt it’s ok, even if it’s you)

Second Agreement- Don’t Take Anything Personally ( Our insecurities allow us to internalize the small stuff, STOP!)

Third Agreement- Don’t Make Assumptions (Ask questions, Take risks, Write a letter,  damn send a text if you are cowardly or scared of rejection)

Fourth Agreement- Always Do Your Best ( When things fall apart, formulate a new plan, start over and maintain your composure to fully attack your task, again and again if needed)
