Art All Night: Nuit Blanche DC I attended this event last evening and I was amazed and taken aback with the excessive heat of the venue; yet intrigued with the creativity and skilfulness  of the artistry help me maintain my cool.

Alison Carney gave a crowd grabbing memorable performance  with the heat of the venue never stopping her stride. In a 18th Century body hugging lace corset ensemble, thigh high metallic boot and top hat. She gave face with her illuminating make-up.   AC rocked the house, undoubtedly.

My Renaissance Man, my partner in crime, co-creative in many projects, my friend for over 10+ years,  Eric B. was on the scene of 7th & I ST, Gallery Place, doing his graffiti/muralist biz along with some other great talent.

DC has so many unconventional noise makers doing there best to keep artistry fresh…..SUBMERGE in the talent as today is the last day of the exhibition.

The heArt, a self described monthly presentation of the cultural arts including but not limited to Music, Fashion, Poetry and Art. In its junior season the heART pool live music talents like non other. There’s no denying that The heART Gallery has been a breath of fresh air for anyone who has found themselves in attendance. Including founders Rodney Rikai Thomas, Femi Adedoyin and Cue Gibson killing this concept in the Underdog environment of New Jersey, HG garners its talents from the four corners of the US and abroad. Jesse Boykins IIIMoRufAri Lennox, and Karega Bailey are just the tip of the iceberg.  This showcase will be a treat to both the ears and eyes, with a full line up of live music, art, fashion, and more.

Last but never least, Truth Amongst Liars was also in the house, if you know TRA you’ll recognize their political mixed media murals anywhere. If you look closely you will see a WHITE rat in the mural.
