I had the pleasure to see Kinky Boots over the weekend in NYC.

From the moment the curtain open, I wasn’t there….

Once arriving to the Hirschfeld Theatre, the curtain was up and

COLE BULLOCK (Young Lola Standby) Age 9, was strutting in his red pumps and belting out tunes like a vet.

Of course Lola, Tony Award winning , Best Actor, Billy Potter was so soulful, I cried for about 30 minutes when he spoke about accepting himself and not being his father’s child…

There was a great dynamic between Charlie & Lola/Simon on and off stage. Charlie, was played by a new actor, John Jeffrey Martin, not Stark Sands.  Oh, what a treat his performance was. Intense, surreal and passionate. This likes usual come fron the enemble which he did. Eagered to stand before a sold out crowd and win them over as if he were the ” cat’s meow” all long….Well done,

JOHN JEFFREY MARTIN (Charlie/Ensemble)

And a honorable mention to the sassy ass, insecure, love-smittenLauren!

It was quite an experience. I can go back at least 3 more times…

KINKY BOOTS…Kinky Boots. NYC best musical of 2013.
