KEYS101: Time. Use your time in the best way you can” Colossians 4:5
Time is our most precious resource. It’s far more important than money. We can get more money, but you can’t get more time. We only have a certain amount allotted to us in this life. We can’t make time, we can’t borrow time, we can’t save time, we can’t extend time. We can only use it. We all have the same amount of time every week: 168 hours. If we don’t learn to manage our time well, we cannot manage anything else in our life, because our time is our life.
God is watching to see how we manage our time on this earth to determine what he’s going to have us do in eternity. He’s giving us a test, because our life on Earth is preparation for eternity. One of Satan’s strategies is to get us so busy doing unimportant things that we don’t have time for the important things in life, and we don’t spend any time preparing for eternity. Satan doesn’t have to get us to sin. If he can’t get us to be bad, he’ll just get us to be busy.
I’m working on this everyday.
Prioritizing. And, simplifying.
I need to simplify my life and eliminate distractions, so God can use me. Don’t try to do it all. Do what matters most!
Peace & Blessings,
Thanks to all of you who voted for me as most stylish in DC. I won for DC. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Good day Life Junkies…
I just wanted to share this testimonial from a client.
Thank you God for my gift of style it allows me to transform and recreate sparkles in my clients eyes. I enjoy what I do. This path that I’ve chosen may not always be lucrative but it’s very rewarding!
Good Friday life junkies,
KEYS101:If you want to have lasting change in your life, you have to start with your body, and that includes changing the way you think so that what you let into your mind and the things you think about honor and acknowledge a power higher than you.
“Put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and … put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness”. Ephesians 4:22-24
Notice that there’s a putting off and a putting on. Your health really comes down to stopping some stuff you need to stop doing and starting some stuff you need to start doing. Stop putting negative, hurtful things in your body, and start putting in things that edify.
Stop putting negative, hurtful things into your mind, and start watching and listening to things that edify and make you whole. In the renewal of your mind, you’ve got to put off before you can put on.
Let’s say you go shopping (I thought this was perfect) to look for a new pair of jeans. You find them and take them into one of those tight changing rooms. If you’re wearing a pair of jeans already, you don’t go in there and put the new jeans on over your old jeans. That would be stupid, because you’re not going to know if they fit. It makes sense to take off the old ones before you put on the new ones.
You’ve got to take off the old before you can put on the new. That’s true spiritually and emotionally and mentally.
I’m working on this myself. We all are “works in progress”! And, if not start now. Spring is a time of “REBIRTH”….
Hey life junkies-
Lets take a few seconds to support our black owned businesses- Vote for best barber shop! My sister girl Dreanie is the proud owner of Hair Razors for 20 years. Keep shining and grinding sister.
So, this is how this works – Hair Razors has been a pillar in the community; feeding the homeless, providing employment opportunities for ex-offenders, sponsoring and hosting networking events for other up and coming businesses and a myriad of other community engagements through the last 20 years. Let’s show Hair Razors some love.
Thanks for your continued support of the “Life Junkie” family.
Peace & Blessings,
It’s Monday life junkies. Let’s kick the week off with some upliftmeant.
KEYS101: Never forget this truth: Failure probably won’t kill you.
We vastly exaggerate the effects of failure. We blow the prospects of failing all out of proportion. Failing is not the end of the freakin’ world. The fear of failure is far more damaging than the act of failure, itself.
Successful people are not people who never fail. They’re people who get up again and keep going. Successful people just don’t know how to quit.
Here are some famous failures?
- George Washington lost two-thirds of all the battles he fought. But he won the Revolutionary War and later became the first U.S. president.
- Napoleon graduated 42nd in a class of 43. Then he went out and conquered Europe!
- In 21 years Babe Ruth hit 714 home runs, but he struck out 1,330 times. He struck out nearly twice as often as he hit a home run.
- The famous novelist John Creasey received 753 rejection slips before he published 564 books.
- Rowland Hussey Macy failed seven times at retailing before starting Macy’s department store.
Great people are simply ordinary people who have an extraordinary amount of determination. They just keep on going. They realize they’re never a failure until they quit.
That’s how you reduce your fear of failure. You redefine it.
You don’t fail by not reaching a specific goal. Instead, failure is not having a goal. Failure is refusing to get back up again once you fall. It’s refusing to try.
You keep going. If at first you don’t succeed, it’s no big deal. You’re never a failure until you give up.
Let’s keep getting up and starting anew! I’m on this journey right with you..
Good day Life Junkies.
Keys101: Giving from my heart is a selfless act.
You earn a living by what you make, but you earn the respect and gratitude of others and a legacy and reputation by what you give.
Who are the people in your life you’re most grateful for? They’re the people who’ve invested time, money, energy, and patience in you. The people you’re most grateful for are the people who’ve given the most to you.
The most giving people are the most appreciated people in most cases-
Is anybody grateful for your generosity? How many people can you think of who would say about you, “That person is so loving and giving; they have been so generous with me”?
There is no better day than today to thank the people who have been generous to you. You can thank them by calling them or writing a note and letting them know how they specifically invested in you and what it has meant in your life. Then, use those people as your model for how to give of yourself and be generous with others.
Lets learn to be considerate and kind to all; even our “frienimes”!
