GRYPHON… a winged monster with the head of an eagle and the body of a lion.

A private affair was held at Gryphon this Tuesday. Grand Opening to the public was on Wednesday.

DC’s young professionals sampled the menu at Gryphon…Dupont Circle latest swanky sports bar.  The alligator bites, grilled cheese with tomato soup,  bison burger were just divine.

I linked up with HU finest Carlisle Sealy and Doug Kammerer , Chief Meteorologist, forecasting the weather weekdays on    News4 bringing viewers the most accurate, complete weather information on air and online. It was quite a treat.

The upside was the service was FANTASTIC, our server Heather was very attentive and down to earth. The manager Jordan was also very engaging. The down side to me was it was too many flat screens!  Meanwhile back at the ranch it is a SPORTS BAR (very cozy and intimate). I know, you don’t hear those words in relation to sports bars to often.

After this event we headed over to a staple in the  U Street community Darnell’s Bar Lounge  and had more libations, wings, mac n cheese and good vibes… A treat for the week.

Check it out… conveniently located across from Dupont (South) Metro.  Grand Opening to the public was on Wednesday.
