Zoolights:

A winter holiday event in which the National Zoo presents a display of thousands lights in likeness of the zoo’s most popular animals, including pandas, elephants, a sea lion and a Komodo dragon.

In addition there is a carousel but it isn’t your mom’s merry-go-round. It’s solar-powered, the 58 hand carved animals represent endangered species…like flamingos, meerkats and my favorite a scallop.

And best of all it’s FREE to enter.

The carousel is $3. It was a fun ride. Don’t judge me. Yes, I was on the carousel.

There is also a train ride.

Popcorn, glow sticks and memorabilia available. I left with glow in the dark glasses.

Just good ole fashion fun….
